Job Description

THE GIG (Summary of the Role)

Supervise and manage store in-charges, oversee retail operations, lead sales team towards achieving sales goals and business objectives, maintain highest level of customer service, coach and develop sales team.  

 

THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART (Responsibilities)

Store Operations

  • Ensure proper function of sales support systems
  • Ensure efficient execution of store operations cost effectively and align with company policies, evaluate and rectify needs and issues through regular store visits
  • Ensure HK retail stores are properly maintained includes but not limited to house-keeping, visual standard
  • Utilize various reports to provide sales analysis and develop sales strategies and motivate staff
  • Communicate with merchandising department to arrange stock transfer or allocation
  • Work closely with Senior Retail Manager about merchandise strategy in HK retail market and monitor product performance. Provide a pro-active action to increase high stock turn and initiate action plans to generate additional sales opportunities
  • Manage HK retail store meeting & arrange store monthly meeting, leave status of retail staff
  • Support ad-hoc retail project  or assignments  

Fiscal Accountabilities

  • Support retail team to achieve monthly target and business objectives
  • Contribute to achieve KPI target
  • Maintain planned staff headcounts
  • Monitor labor expenses vs budget as appropriate
  • Submit accurate and timely sales report - including the weekly & monthly commentary report
  • Recommend effective instore promotion, sales incentive and commission schemes to maximize and business growth
  • Assist retail team on preparing new store proposal includes but not limited to capex, sales forget estimation etc.

 Staff Development & Leadership

  • Roster and leave management for retail staff
  • Recruit, hire and maintain talented staff
  • Train staff on procedures, product knowledge, security and establish accountabilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Coach and manage staff on a timely performance management basis
  • Identify training needs and provide senior management on training & development to foster professional development
  • Ensure development of top supervisors and senior sales at each location to build a viable succession strategy
  • Evaluate staffing levels, division of responsibility, and organizational structure on a timely basis
  • Manage transfer of staff amongst all store locations to encourage training, interaction and motivation
  • Establish good relationship and sound communication with clients and store sales through regular store visits

 Customer Communication and Development

  • Supervise staff to effectively resolve clients’ complaints
  • Monitor after-sales service eg. repairs
  • Build key customer relationship
  • Leverage analytical tool to understand customer demographics and develop customer development strategies
  • Ensure customer events as sales opportunities
  • Feedback competitors activities
  • Identify new market trends and changing customer demographics

 Cross Functional Teaming

  • Work in conjunction with Finance team to ensure all stock takes are carried out as per company guidelines
  • Follow up all retail marketing and promotion activities / branding programs / VM to achieve business objectives
  • Handle logistics of the sales promotion activities and ensure efficient and smooth execution of related activities at shops

 

YOUR FUNDAMENTAL QUALITIES (Requirements)

  • Degree holder with 3 years’ experience in retail operations & multi-store management, solid experience in front line staff management is required
  • Result-driven, passionate, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong in leadership, responsibility and with a can-do attitude
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred to liaise with local front line staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel, and good data analytical and reporting skills
