Job Responsibility:

• Handle day-to-day operations of bulk and container shipments;
• Handle settlement of payments to service providers, such as ocean freight, inland transport, inspection fees, warehousing costs, etc. as per the instructions of DGM;
• Input and maintain shipment records (database) for Company’s commodities;
• Take part in planning and execution of Shipping schedule in accordance to production, purchase and sales schedule;
• Handle Inventory control and monitoring for different commodities and locations;
• Liaise with inspection companies to arrange the weight and quality survey inspection;
• Liaise with agents, stevedores in respect of cargo loading/unloading handling;
• Handle Laytime calculations, dispatch/demurrage settlements in bulk cargo, as well as detention, port storage & claims settlements in container shipments;
• Handle claims investigations and suggest preventive action; and
• Handle any ad-hoc assignment as required by the Company from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or Degree holder in Logistics Management or related discipline is preferred;
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in shipping, logistics and/or commodities business;
• General knowledge of container and bulk shipments and basic knowledge of laytime calculations is required;
• Good communication skills, independent, high initiative and responsible, able to work under pressure and be a good team player;
• Good command in both spoken and written English and Mandarin is a must.
