Seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy online brand protection specialist to oversee the online enforcement program, concentrated in the APAC region, to combat sellers of counterfeit and infringing products.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage online enforcement program for marketplaces,websites, social media platforms, mobile apps and other emerging threats, with a key focus in the APAC region
• Work closely with online enforcement service provider to implement an effective enforcement strategy
• Regularly analyze the online trends for both consumers and infringers, and adapt the enforcement strategy accordingly
• Minimize the visibility and availability of infringing goods and content across all online sites/platforms
• Carry out ‘clustering’ investigations to identify linked infringements across multiple sites/platforms
• Analyze intelligence obtained from investigation and takedown work, prioritize threats/targets accordingly
• Create and cultivate relationships with key online marketplaces, platforms, ISPs, registrars, search engines and payment providers to develop best practice and reinforce online enforcement strategy
• Work closely with global law enforcement and other industry stakeholders to target key online threats
• Identify, analyze and prioritize high-level infringers and global trends and assist with the investigation of these targets
• Provide support for global enforcement program as needed
• Assist in reviewing counterfeit product from online marketplaces and websites seizures to assess authenticity
• Assist with management of all related vendors (private investigators, local counsel, etc.)
• Liaise with the corporate teams and business partners globally regarding the sale of counterfeit products, grey market products and IP generally
• Liaise with internal teams and external vendors and partners internationally
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years of substantial online anti-counterfeiting experience
• Fluency in English is required; fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred
• Experience in formulating, implementing and critically reviewing online investigations and enforcement initiatives
• Strong familiarity with online IPR enforcement in US, China, and other jurisdictions
• Working familiarity of IP law, particularly trademark and copyright
• Experience in submitting takedown notices
• Ability to research, methodically organize and analyze data from initial response through successful conclusion
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, law enforcement and government officials, and third party service providers, such as online platforms and ISPs
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and ability to communicate with all levels of the company including Senior Management
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and problem solve
• Excellent team player, including ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Strong time management, project management, workload management and organizational skills
• Must have a strong sense of ownership, teamwork, responsibility and initiative
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and office management techniques
• Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word (including track changes), Excel, & PowerPoint
• Ability to travel approximately once per month, as needed
