We are partnering a global athletic brand operating more than 250 stores around the world to hire a Merchandise Planner in Hong Kong office. The brand is well known of design & development of high quality fitness apparel and accessories.
This is a newly created role in response to the rapid growth in Asia market. An exciting opportunity which offers good work-life balance, challenging yet fun work culture.
Your role :
Report to Merchandise Planning Manager, you will focus on merchandising strategy from merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, pricing, in season management to inventory liquidation for Asia market. You will develop pre-season plan in sales, markdown, margin, receipt and inventory. You will review and reconcile bottom up/ top down information and form action plans. You will work closely with retail buying team to analyze and reflect current trends in performance of strategy based on actual sales performance, forecast monthly and seasonal store plans for allocation, OTB Plan and store review.
The ideal candidate:
You should be an excellent team player and able to work independently. Self-directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful, good ability to see the merchandise vision and translate into viable plans. You need to be able to think outside the box - strategically and creatively
- 4-8 years merchandise planning experience in the apparel industry
- Tertiary qualification preferably in business or commerce
- Expert knowledge of Excel is required
