The Part-Time Accountant will be responsible for the following:

1. Input data into Peachtree Accounting system

1. Prepare and input month-end closing journal entries

1. Conduct regular physical inventory stock-take and produce inventory reconciliation schedules

1. Prepare monthly financial reporting package in accordance with HK GAAP for Non-Profit Organizations:
1. Income Statement by Program
2. Consolidated Income Statement
3. Statement of Assets and Liabilities

1. Prepare Cash Flow budget and analyze variances on monthly basis

6. Supervise payroll, billing, receivables, payables, cash receipts, cash disbursements, and general ledger functions.
7. Monitor and follow-up on receivables that have been outstanding for long periods of time.
8. Oversee filing of tax forms, MPF and health insurance, including Kids4Kids annual insurance policy.
9. Oversee, in conjunction with independent auditor, preparation of annual audit.

Additions

1. Provide ED on the 3^rd Monday of each month the ledger for ED to confirm program expenses
2. Provide ED with a list of any un-named donations at the end of each month.
3. Transfer PayPal funds to HSBC account at the end of each month – keeping a balance of $3000HKD in Paypal
4. Provide ED with an I/E Statement by program 10 days before monthly board meeting

o   an I/E Statement by program

o   month end cash position (with comparison to budget)

o   List of receivables and follow-up actions taken

Past experience working in the nonprofit sector would be an advantage
