Category Manager (Timber & Millworks)

l   Initiate and implement sourcing projects and drive the Global sourcing strategies & category strategies;

l   Act as subject matter expert of sourcing and work with the regional sourcing team in US, Europe and Australia to deliver the sourcing activities;

l   Manage and maintain relationship with Asia suppliers;

l   Identify, communicate, manage and overcome risks, gaps and issues throughout the product development process and support the product standardization and harmonization;

l   Work closely with the Quality functions ensuring product quality and supplier compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

l   Degree in Engineering / Building Studies or other equivalent;

l   + 5 years’ experience at a management level within the sourcing field (experience in furniture, flooring or timber product is preferred);

l   Solid work experience in sourcing, vendor evaluation and price negotiations;

l   General knowledge of I/E practices, trade customs and related standard for building and construction materials across US, Europe and Australia;

l   Travel frequently to visit our supply base in China and other South East Asia countries.

l   Working experience in Asia sourcing hub and new setup environment is preferred;

l    Good command of English and Mandarin.
