Responsibilities:

• Oversee the use of new technology in the design, development and execution of all scales of E&M projects with an emphasis on Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computation and Visualization.
• Lead the discussion with BUs on how to invest in digital advancements and monitor an annual budget.
• Meet regularly with BUs in Technical, Design, and Project Management.
• Participate in business development, as required, to bring the right opportunities to the Group.
• Work with Contracts Administration to review contracts, provisions and other documents to address BIM issues within the project delivery.
• Manage the staffing of the BIM team members
• Oversee the development of training and workshops within the Group
• Direct R & D efforts within the Group and maintain knowledge on trends in the industry via conferences, publications, and relationships with industry partners.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related discipline.  Professional membership required.
• Minimum 12 years solid experience in design and/or construction practice in which 3 years’ experience in leading a BIM team and its development
• The candidate should have an expert knowledge of, proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit and related BIM software.
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills and good interpersonal and presentation skills
• To be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
• A thorough understanding of building types, MEP system and design / construction process
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including teaching, mentoring and coaching skills
