Job Duties

• Responsible for environmental, health, safety and all related issues in compliance with statutory requirements;
• Liaise with Government (e.g. Fire Services / Environmental Dept.) on statutory requirements, licensing and documentation;
• Conduct incident investigation and root cause analysis to make recommendations to prevent recurrence
• Coordinate or conduct necessary safety training to staff members and contractors;
• Chair the Safety Committee meeting and prepare the minutes;
• Conduct the regular site inspection for preventive safety issues;
• On-call requirement for plant safety if necessary;
• Perform ad. hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health Management or related discipline;
• 3 years environmental, health & safety experience in manufacturing plant;
• Previous working experience in chemical and petrochemical plant are an advantage;
• Good knowledge of local plant safety / environmental rules and regulations;
• Strong safety awareness, self-motivated and good communication skills;
• Can work independently with minimum supervision;
• Familiar with handling the licenses renewal in respect of dangerous, fire installation and related factory licenses;  
• Good written and verbal communication skills of Chinese, Mandarin & English.
