Our client is an internationally recognized company that develops and manufactures specialized patented materials that provide technical solutions to global well-known brands. To cope with their business expansion in China, they are urgently inviting high caliber candidate to join them as General Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Global Operations, you will be overseeing the China team and factories and its soon to be formed laboratory and warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the China business and its factories.

You will be looking to implement Production Processes, Quality Controls & Reporting Procedures; as well as to ensure the continued development and expansion of company's business in Asia.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities:

• At least 5 years solid experience and knowledge of factories and production processes, ideally in Footwear / Mouldings / Components environment
• Ability to implement both production and reporting processes within the factories
• Good knowledge of Quality Processes is a MUST
• Ability to manage a team of 10+ people
• Strong negotiation skills - Able to negotiate with factories and suppliers at all levels
• Proactive, aggressive and strong passion in driving the business forward
• A confident decision maker who can work independently
• Technical/Chemical engineering background would be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge of PU, Elastomer, TPU, EVA moulding would be an advantage but not essential
• Fluent in both English & Mandarin preferred
• Willing to travel overseas when required
