Job Description

Individual Giving Fundraising Manager 

The Role: Building upon Save the Children Hong Kong (SCHK)'s established and successful individual fundraising program, the candidate will be responsible for taking our operations in this area to the next level. Possessing excellent marketing experience and be both hands-on and strategic, the candidate will leverage Save the Children international expertise and reach to achieve SCHK’s targets. This role offers the opportunity to progress to become an integral part of the SCHK's leadership team to foster a leading team approach to individual fundraising.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Direct Marketing strategy, planning, analysis and team management
• Develop and implement a regular giving and cash strategy to drive revenue growth.
• Develop and implement a renewed supporter journey for all new and existing supporters in order to maximize retention.
• Manage income and expenditure budgets and forecasts for all individual giving programmes.
• Ensure campaign activity is executed on time and within budget.
• Oversee the detailed post campaign analysis.
• Work to develop more robust reporting so that can better inform the team’s decision making process to help drive revenue growth.
• Create a positive and dynamic working environment for the team
Campaign management
• Oversee the development of all acquisition channels, including DRTV, in-house F2F, and cash appeals and potentially test new acquisition channels.
• This includes developing a new DRTV strategy and working with the Communications Team on optimizing the DRTV strategy and suggest innovative ways to use DRTV
• Oversee new donor development initiatives to help build income from our existing base. This will be through improves to upgrade, reactivation, delinquency management and launching a new middle donor programme.
• Work with the team to manage external agencies and suppliers to ensure optimal performance, within the necessary timelines and within budget.
• Develop and maintain processes and procedures to ensure internal capacity is efficient, and is being continuously improved to meet changing conditions.
Donor care management
• Manage the Donor Support team in order to ensure that our supporters have the best possible supporter experience.
• Support administration of donation processing for both online and offline donations
Digital
• Manage the Digital Assistant Manager in developing a new digital plan for the organization to support fundraising channels such as DRTV, humanitarian, upgrade, reactivation and other fundraising initiatives. This will be through our website, emails, social media and other digital platforms.
New Business Development
• Work with Save the Children US, SCHK Communications and Events team to assist in launching Child Sponsorship.
• Scope out the potential for legacy fundraising.
Integration
• Ensure integration with other departments to ensure that the donor journey is logical and that we are maximizing our ability to communicate with donors and potential donors with all of our touch points, making use of all mediums.

Qualifications/Experience/Key Skills:

• Degree holder in Marketing, Business Administration, PR/Marketing Communications or related discipline
• Must have a minimum of 5 years fundraising experience in the non-profit and direct marketing sectors as well as experience in managing a team and vendors
• Must be both strategic and hands-on to direct and execute the daily responsibilities
• Must be able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks independently and be a team player
• Experience in managing child sponsorship will be an added advantage
• Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
• Capable to prioritize tasks and adapt to sudden changes of work requirement, such as putting up an appeal within 48 hours during onset of emergencies / large scale disasters
• Lots of initiatives and with a can-do and adaptable attitude
