Job Description

We are currently hiring a Team Member to join our Transaction Processing Division.

Transaction Processing is responsible for the management of different operations related to APAC markets, APAC currencies but also to Bridge settlement and management of the cash netting with Clearstream.

Cash and Settlement department is a complex but exciting business, which requires a highly time management, prioritization, understanding of the market and attention to detail. Cash and Settlement are core businesses which are absolutely vital for Euroclear Bank.

Our department interacts with the following teams: Collateral management, ALM, Money Transfer, Client Service dedicated, Network Management, Credit and offers very good opportunities to build an end to end knowledge of the Operations business.

The Transaction Processing Hong Kong team makes sure settlement instructions and cash instructions of our clients are processed accurately and on time.

Your part of the deal 

As a member of the Settlement & Money Transfer team, your specific responsibilities will be to:- 

• Handle the processing of Clients and Correspondent cash instructions
• Repair and follow up of incorrect/incomplete instructions with the clients (Queries) to ensure timely execution
• Monitor the outflow of payments and run risk control checks
• Perform daily reconciliation of all cash accounts of Euroclear Bank with various cash correspondents and take necessary actions to resolve the discrepancy if any
• Perform Credit Monitoring checks for instructions blocked due to lack of collateral and/or cash
• Generate reports for Asian depositories on a regular basis
• Process cancellation requests from client for their settlement and cash instructions
• Process cash and securities realignment requests with Clearstream on a daily basis
• Liaise and handle queries from Asian cash correspondents and depositories
• Provide assistance to Client Services for queries related to settlement and money transfer
• Propose and implement new tools and application to improve efficiency and productivity 

Your profile

The ideal candidate will:-

• Possess a strong understanding of Financial products and associated settlement issues
• Have fluency in English, and other language e.g. Mandarin is a plus
• Have good time management and communication skills
• Have the ability to multitask effectively in a strict deadline environment
• Be precise and detail-oriented
• Possess good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Have a continuous Improvement mindset
• Work well with autonomy, be open minded and a quick learner
• Be self-motivated and be a good team player
• Ideally have previous experience in cash processing and/or settlement operations is an asset
