Responsibilities:

• To provide technical support to health related projects in China. The project components include child nutrition, maternal and child health, Water and Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and child injury prevention. The technical support includes capacity enhancement of project teams in health project, design, monitoring and evaluation, organizing and conducting capacity building activities, development of tools and health materials
• To assist Health Department Head in adapting, improving and documenting innovative health interventions in the health ministry in China
• To develop knowledge management system and document and share best practices and success stories/cases
• To assist Health Department Head in developing and providing innovative and effective monitoring support to projects in order to ensure quality of health projects
• To assist Health Department Head in networking and liaison with health related governmental and non-governmental organizations in China 

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Public Health/ Medicine/ Nutrition/ Development/ Nursing/ Medical Anthropology/ Behavioral Sciences/ Social Work/ Social Sciences
• Preferably having at least 2 years of work experience in related areas of Public Health/ Medicine/ Nutrition/ Development/ Nursing/ Medical Anthropology/ Behavioral Sciences/ Social Work/ Social Sciences
• Have great interest in public health development and rural health care in China, and particularly health issues related to children
• Independent, responsible, team-player or willing to learn how to work in a team, have interest in people
• Sensitive to the different cultures in China and willing to work among the marginalized groups and vulnerable children in China
• Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua) and English
• Good computer skills, in both English and Chinese
• Having previous work experience in World Vision development projects in mainland China (preferred but not required)
• Frequent travel to mainland China
• Two years contract
