Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To manage the delivery of a high quality, cost effective recruitment service which adds value, meets customer needs and is aligned to business requirements and the wider HR strategy and people agenda
  • Contribute to the People Plan as part of the Business Planning process by providing recruitment input which ensures resourcing requirements are reflected and key issues identified
  • Lead on the implementation and ongoing development of the Recruitment Centre of Excellence to deliver high quality and robust recruitment practices in line with best practice
  • Advise the business on focused recruitment strategies to attract high calibre applicants which suit the needs of the business, support employee retention and workforce planning
  • Ensure a high quality recruitment framework is developed which achieves consistency in recruitment practices across the organisation and which is aligned to best practice
  • Source high quality senior candidates for vacancies within the business via the most suitable route and when appointments are made manage the effective delivery of recruitment processes and procedures
  • Develop and drive recruitment initiatives to support the development of policies, systems and processes that meet organisational goals are aligned with best practice
  • Manage recruitment processes and procedures to ensure all recruitment activities are delivered in accordance with the latest employment legislation, policy and market conditions
  • Manage the recruitment systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and deliver quality recruitment data which is accurate, timely and robust and which supports informed analysis and decision making
  • Inform on HR policies, procedures and legislation which may impact business and /or policies to raise awareness of potential risk, solutions and opportunities
  • Deliver expert advice and coaching on recruitment to the business as well as members of the HR team, to equip them with the skills to recruit to a high standard
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners, recruiting managers and other senior members of the business to understand business objectives/requirements and assist in the timely delivery of solutions
  • Manage external recruitment agencies through a negotiated PSL and regularly liaise throughout all stages of the recruitment campaign to maintain strong, mutually beneficial, third party relationships
  • Provide and evaluate key metrics/KPI’s to demonstrate the effectiveness of the recruitment function which can be used across a variety of audiences from individual business areas to the board of directors and which informs decision making and action planning
  • Manage, resource, motivate develop and focus the recruitment team to ensure the required standards of performance and support the continuing personal and professional development of all team members.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication, and transfer of knowledge, between and within the HR teams to share information and develop depth of knowledge within HR

Requirements:

  • Substantial recruitment experience in a corporate environment
  • Experience of managing Recruitment Agencies and Executive Search
  • Registered/qualified in the use of psychometric tests (BPS Level A + B)
  • Proven track record of developing and managing the delivery of competency based assessment and selection activities
  • Tertiary educated with extensive relevant experience
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate how diversity can benefit organisations
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Relationship building and management skills - able to develop and maintain relationships with key members of the business
  • Strong working knowledge of internal and external trends in recruitment and selection
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment legislation relevant to recruitment, including discrimination and the conduct of employment agencies
  • Excellent understanding of best practice in recruitment and ‘local’ employment marketplace
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and related terminology
