Sustainable Living and Agriculture Department

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of field staff on sustainable production at orchard and seedling nursery at KFBG.
• Undertake studies and projects to enhance sustainability and facilitate wider adaptation of agroforestry in Hong Kong.
• Deliver training workshops and maintain a food-forest display to promote sustainable agriculture.
• Develop and implement projects to enhance sustainability of food system in Hong Kong.

Requirements

• Commitment to the mission, vision and values of KFBGC.
• Holding a degree in agriculture, horticulture, natural science or a relevant field.
• At least 2 years of working experience in agricultural and/or relevant field.
• Good project management, organizing and communication skills.
• Certificate holder of organic inspector and/or permaculture design is preferred;
  
• Good command of English and Cantonese, Mandarin is preferred and computer literacy;
  
• Physically fit for outdoor farming works and activities.
  
• Able to work in weekends and public holidays occasionally.
  
• Valid Type II driving license is preferred.
• Open minded and recognize the validity of all spiritual paths.
