A leading retailer in Europe is offering an exciting opportunity to join their non-food grocery team. They have had well over a century’s presence, is a household name and globally recognized. This is an amazing chance to gain international exposure as well as travelling across Asia and Europe.

The reputable retailer is currently seeking a Quality Technologist who will work with a cross functional team on developing a new range of non-food items. Their responsibilities will include:

• Manage and improve product performance – create and deliver complaint reduction action plans with suppliers by utilizing management information
• Ensure high standard and on time delivery of projects Ensure that product information is accurate for quality and safety standards to be abide
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues; implement clear action plans with suppliers when necessary
• Implement technical plans that improve product quality
• Use of management information to make appropriate risked/opportunity assessed decisions
• Deliver technical aspects of sustainability plan for product area- sets and communicates clear targets to the relevant affected suppliers
• Develop cross functional projects to enable target for profitability, quality and sustainability plans

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in a quality technical role (Retailer or Supplier preferred)
• Degree in Chemistry/Science/Food & Nutrition or relevant experience
• Exposure to regulatory requirements in personal care/non-food grocery and familiar with relevant safety standards
• Good understanding of technical requirements and manufacturing experience including HACCP and BRC or other recognized quality management systems
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Familiar with manufacturing operations in Asia
• Travelling to conduct audits required
