Job Description

Our Client, a foreign corporate bank is looking for a Head of Credit Administration for their operation in Hong Kong.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Management

  • Manage the Credit Admin function to ensure smooth operation and sufficient back-up
  • Supervise and provide training and guidance to subordinate
  • Constant review of work flow and turnaround time
  • Constant review of the system support and the timeliness/accuracy of various reporting;
  • Assist subordinates to work with complicated files, and set up guideline for future operations of such files
  • Update the relevant operation manual and procedures
  • Update the Business Contingency Plan for the Credit Admin function

 

Limit and Collateral Control

  • Administer and monitor limit set-up in the appropriate systems
  • Review and administer daily irregularities sanction
  • Monitor collateral record, value and validity
  • Safe custody and maintenance of loan and credit documentations

 

Credit Administration

  • Monitor loan administration procedure for each credit file, ensuring all steps followed properly
  • Act as approver of limit input/update for new and amended facilities, and dispatch clear instructions to other operation departments where necessary
  • Ensure proper input of special referral/remarks/suspension raised by Relationship Manager, management or Credit Committee for close monitoring of marginal files
  • Coordinate with operations (Bills/Settlement/ Accounts) and Treasury with respect to credit facilities maintenance
  • Conduct ad hoc project/reports and regular reports as requested by the management and head office
  • Monitor the Covenant Diary System, and ensure all relevant loan administration events, credit events and covenants are properly diarized
  • Review daily excess report on professional limits, and ensure proper approval has been obtained
  • Maintain and update position of title document and debt instrument for property mortgage and problem files

 

Others

  • Manage the filing and archive requirements
  • Coordinate with head office, overseas branches and subsidiaries for structuring documents/controls on specially structured facility, or other bank operations
  • Provide back-up support to other Asia Pacific Branches
  • Undertake other assignments at the request of management from time to time

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in credit administration in a local, or foreign bank/branch with focus on corporate banking
  • Some formal legal training preferred
