Foreign Trade Association Hong Kong Limited is looking for a Membership Officer based in Hong Kong to support the Association’s implementation of membership services in Greater China.

 This role reports directly to the FTA Country Representative based in Hong Kong.

 Key tasks and responsibilities

• Draft, translate and produce bilingual communications materials including web news, Powerpoints presentations, brochure, flyers, etc.
• Handle incoming enquiries and follows-up on the queries
• Promote FTA’s services to potential Members and key stakeholders
• Conduct market research that is relevant to sustainability development and trade policy
• Maintain up-to-date key Members’ and their producer profile on database
• Plan and deliver members orientation/networking sessions in English, Cantonese, Mandarin in Hong Kong and Southern China cities
• Provide logistics support to external events and top management’s visits to the region
• Process background checking for potential new Members
• Coordinate other membership service-driven projects when needed

Professional Skills and Abilities

• University degree or above preferably in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations
• Min. 1 year experience preferably in customer service support or service marketing
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) is a must
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good presentation skills
• Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking
• Pleasant, articulate and assertive, able to adapt a multi-cultural team
• Able to build strong connections with a wide range of members and stakeholders
• Excellent knowledge of Windows, notably Excel, Word and PowerPoints
• Skills in innovative communications/social media channels could be an advantage
