The incumbent  is a key commercial and project manager role in leading all Asia buying activities including sourcing, development and delivery of Beauty Gifts to international markets and retailers as well as supplier management and project management. 

Responsibilities & Specific Accountabilities include:

• Full ownership on costs and profitability – achieving buying margin targets and LEAN targets
• Negotiate the best optimum cost with suppliers and enhance Beauty Gift value for the brand and for customers
• Source and develop Beauty Gift items with development guides, simple briefing notes or suggest products which fit into various brands
• Provide sourcing solutions according to Corporate strategy and plan by understanding of markets
• Identify the best-in-class manufacturers, manage and develop suppliers and build supplier relationship
• Responsible for the end-to-end project management - manage critical path & risk assessment, lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects and achieve KPIs
• Negotiate the commercial benefits to bring the best value products to our customers
• Support line manager on Asia buying activities (e.g. organizing buying trips independently) as well as supplier management and programme management
• May lead subordinate teammate for delivering projects and building category expertise

Key Position Requirements:

• University Graduate or equivalent
• At least 7 years solid experience in Gifting related categories, business focus with acute commercial sense
• Sizeable buying office experience would be preferred, experience in manufacturing environment would be an advantage
• Experience with the UK and US retail market, regulatory requirements and sound product knowledge
• Understanding on formulated products and Beauty Gift item requirements will be beneficial
• Able to work under pressure in a dynamic and competitive environment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong team player within own team and with cross-functional team with excellent communication skills
• An eager & fast learner 
• Self-motivated and proactive to drive changes and new ways of working
• Possess a high level of initiative and integrity under a dynamic and competitive environment
• Strong connection with supplier base
• Strong project management skills
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal, and Putonghua
• High proficiency in MS Excel skills
• Business travel may be required
