This job is heavily skewed toward mechanical design. You will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, manufacturing and testing of new and existing products. Using your engineering expertise and design thinking to create functional and asethetically pleasing products, you are expected to work as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team at Accutone. You will engage with manufacturers, vendors and partners as you work on the development of new products.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• You will work with electronic, software engineers and design house to conceptualize, design, and build new products,
• Engineer parts for tight tolerance injection molding,
• Make detailed 3D CAD models, search out materials, components and systems for the product
• Perform finite element modeling on

1. Metal and plastic enclosures,
2. Battery modules,
3. Electronic circuit boards and
4. Wiring systems

• to meet performance requirements, which include safety, reliability, weight and cost,
• Develop and coordinate material testing procedures to carry out experiments that satisfy project requirements,
• Document technical data generated in Design Verification Test, supporting the project design reviews,
• Build and troubleshoot prototypes, analyze results of reliability testing, iteratively improve the design and bring to production,
• Create production documentation, component specification, component DFM, and other technical design documents,

ABOUT YOU

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years experience in bringing products to market
• Modern knowhow of Product ID design
• Highly proficient in operating SolidWorks 3D CAD
• Headphone or precision component/system design analysis including mechanical structure and crash analysis and fatigue durability analysis
• Experience with metal structures and plastic component tool modeling
• Product development and manufacturing experience
• Strong analytic problem solving skills and experience working with tight timing constraints
• Strong communication, organization and documentation skills is a MUST
• Electrical and electronics experience is a plus
• Experience with 3D printing and CNC is a plus
