Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage co-development activities, products and partnerships.
  • Sourcing strategies and supplier portfolio development and management.
  • Create and manage performance metrics for all levels of purchasing activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve end-to-end supply chain and supplier performance and drive down cost.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels through well-managed material flow.
  • Effectively manage a large global purchasing team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver supply chain solutions for the company’s long-term strategic and short-term tactical needs.
  • Oversee the procurement of critical components and commodities for production across multiple value streams.
  • Drive cost reduction in the supply base through product and logistic cost reductions.
  • Prepare and monitor the staffing, and business/operational results of the purchasing organization. Responsible for maintaining and reporting of departmental metrics (i.e. on-time delivery, buyer performance) on a bi-weekly/monthly basis to executive management.
  • Evaluate, measure and improve quality performance, on-time delivery, and cost performance of Suppliers.
  • Collaborate with planning and execution teams to establish inventory safety stock levels, reorder amounts, and lead times for all raw materials and finished goods.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and product development teams to source new and alternative purchased goods and components.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key suppliers.
  • Oversee the negotiation of pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Prepare and continuously improve the supplier selection processes in conjunction with the Quality organization.
  • Ensure the New Product Development (NPD) teams are effectively supported through the ODM Playbook processes.
  • Ensure compliance to the ISO/TS/IATF standards for the SCM and purchasing processes.
  • Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to ensure agreed to customer service levels and inventories are maintained.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields.; Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering, preferred
  • Have a minimum of ten years’ of progressively responsible experience in global strategic sourcing, purchasing, and project management.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and ability to make difficult decisions.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills in a high-volume work environment.
  • Have sales and operations planning experience, a plus.
  • Are available to (and can) travel both domestic and international, as needed.
  • Have greater than five years’ experience in similar role, preferably in video surveillance, a plus.
  • Understand video surveillance product and solutions offerings, a plus.
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of international trade, transportation and warehousing.
  • Are fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
  • Have experience managing and implementing best-in-class purchasing processes.
  • Have solid project management experience.
  • Have quality management and expertise; black belt or equivalent, is a plus.
  • Applied knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Have good understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes (SPS).
  • Have experience in customer quality and delivery excellence.
  • Are capable of handling multiple and conflicting priorities and are effective at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Have worked in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Have experience leading a team, or teams.
  • Have experience managing and leading teams remotely.
  • The ideal candidate shall excel in the areas of communication, leadership, customer centricity, initiative and business centric attitude.
  • Are experienced using Microsoft Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook.
