Responsibilities and duties  

• Building a new server infrastructure on RHEL/Centos, Windows
• Building a new virtual desktop infrastructure
• Building out new monitoring systems
• Performance tuning in BIOS and Linux platform to optimize the system performance and latency
• Large chunks of research, instrumenting stuff, DC build out work
• Implement the latest automation and configuration management tools (Puppet
• Docker, Chef etc)
• Written and used spec files for creating rpm packages
• Support the day to day operation of windows servers, exchange, domain control, active directory.
• Provide Level-2 support and troubleshoot but also need to provide level-1 support occasionally
• Work with regional team in supporting the infrastructure and delivering regional projects
• Ensure project delivery is on time, within scope and budget exceeding service level agreements
• Experience and skills in liaison with third-party vendors and counterparts
• Excellent skills in incident, problem, change and configuration management
• Willing to learn and keep in pace with latest and emerging technologies
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel

 Requirement

• Degree in Computer Science, IT and or related disciplines;
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as network engineer
• 5 years of experiences in system deployment and support especially in Linux platform
• Vendor certification is a plus.
• Compiled the Linux kernel.
• Used git for source control.
• be able to script in bash
• Understanding of server network configuration and troubleshooting, including bonding, static routes
• Must be able to interact in a professional manner with End Users
• Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English
• Experience with Time synchronization (e.g. NTP, PTP).
• Written puppet/chef modules from scratch (or some other config management system).
• Knowledge in vendor backup/storage solutions is a plus
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as senior system engineer
