Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and execute communications and publicity projects, e.g. Oxfam Trailwalker
• Handle media liaison and publicity, organize press briefing and media event, write press release and features for fundraising activities in Hong Kong and Macau
• Copy-write, edit, and contribute ideas to agency communications materials and publications
• Plan, coordinate and liaise with external and internal personnel on the production of agency print materials
• Translate agency generated articles/ materials from Chinese to English or vice versa

Appointment period: July 2017 – February 2018 (tentatively)

Requirements:

• Degree holder, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in media relations and publicity
• Practical experience in media relations and journalism
• Experience in PR agency and above-the-line communications is preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of the media environment in Hong Kong,with knowledge in China media is a definite advantage
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Good project management and interpersonal skills, and is able to work under pressure with tight timelines
• Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing
• Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is highly desirable

Candidate with less experience may be considered as Assistant Communications Officer
