Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform reviewing and checking of Customer Due Diligent (CDD) documentation and validation of the appropriateness of client on-boarding documents as well as carrying out periodic Know Your Customer (KYC) review of the existing customers accurately and diligently and render professional service to BUs within the prescribed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and compliance of regulators’ requirements, bank’s guidelines / policy on KYC, AML / CFT
- Proactively track and liaise with the relevant counterparties (RMs and Compliance) on outstanding / incomplete CDD documentation and / or their approvals and their follow up works
- Collaboration and working with BU, Compliance and internal legal relating to the matters of client onboarding and the ongoing and trigger events KYC review
- Provides comments and advices in respect of the matters of clients on-boarding and KYC / AML control to Business Units to support business growth
- Deliver coaching / update information to junior staff and front line staff in the areas of the clients on-boarding requirements
- Work with Corporate Account and E-Service team and / or any concerned departments on the maintaining and updating of relevant customer information / profile in the relevant systems
- Other duties, to be assigned by management
Requirements
- University graduate of discipline of Banking / Business administration / Finance with at least 4-5 year of banking experience on clients on-boarding matters, name screening and CDD documents checking, or at least 12 years of banking experience in bank operations relating to documentation checking for clients on-boarding, account opening and maintenance and wholesale banking knowledge is preferable
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous with a logical and skeptical mind-set
Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Officer
