Under supervision of the Aquatics Director, Swimming Instructor teaches students and other HKIS Community members swimming and water safety lessons during the school day and after school hours. Swimming Instructor plans and implements developmentally appropriate learning experiences that advance the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of students within a safe and healthy learning environment.

Requirements:

• Current certification in one the following is preferred:

• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (USA) or
• Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AU) or
• STA Professional Certificate in Teaching Swimming (UK) or
• Other certifications required by local or Hong Kong laws

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Swimming Instructor
• Good communication skills in English
• Willing to work mornings, mid-day, evenings and weekends
• Willing to take additional training courses organized by theAquatics Department as well as obtaining and keep up to date required qualifications of a lifeguard in Hong Kong
