Role and Responsibilities

• Search for qualified suppliers in the relevant product categories
• Communicate regularly with new and existing suppliers
• Negotiate with vendors / factories to meet the HQ:s cost and quality requirements
• Develop and manage suppliers, build relationship and monitor their performance
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to meet markets quality standards
• Host and maintain an open communication within team as well as with cross functional departments (Buying / Quality / Logistics) in Hong Kong and Germany
• Maintain strong business relationships with vendors / factories to ensure continuous supplier development
• Collect samples, evaluate, write report and arrange sample submission to HQ for final approval
• Proactively identify / resolve operational issues and escalate if necessary
• Perform other ad hoc duties
• Report to the Local Director in Hong Kong
• Occasional travel to China for vendor / factory assessments and fairs is required

Requirement

• University graduate in Business Administration / Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in sourcing.
• Familiar with EU / German standards and regulations is an advantage
• Excellent project management skills, financial awareness and adaptive to the direction of the company
• Solution-oriented, pro-active and independent working style
• Capable of leading and coaching a future team to accomplish company goals
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skill to interact with all levels, both external and internal
• Good MS Office (Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Outlook) skills

• Excellent command of both spoken & written English and Chinese
