Sha Tin College is an 11-18 international school with approximately 1,200 students.

Responsibilities

The school is seeking to appoint a Library Assistant to work with the Librarian to ensure the smooth and efficient running of its busy school library. The position requires someone who enjoys working as a part of a team to achieve the library’s objectives. The post holder must therefore enjoy working with students, have a passion for books and literature and be computer literate. The successful applicant will need to become proficient in operating library system software including Softlink, “Oliver”.

The position will be available from the 11 August 2017 to end of June 2019. The position is a full-time but term time only position. The successful candidate will have unpaid leave each year during summer holidays which are specified in the ESF annual school calendar.

Requirements

  • The person appointed must have an excellent command of written and spoken English, as well as clerical and inter-personal skills of a high order.
  • Proficient computer skills, and a willingness to develop these further, are essential.
  • Appropriate qualifications and previous experience of working with students in an educational setting would be an advantage.
