JOB BRIEF

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
• Generate new leads with the aim of creating various ongoing revenue sources.
• Preparation and deliver of professional and compelling travel proposals and sales presentations to suppliers.
• Ensure that the travel products (content, rates and availability) is consistently optimized and competitive to maximize customer conversion.
• Negotiate contracts or rates with travel service providers.
• Develop and manage online and offline travel packages.
• Gather competitor intelligence to effectively counter competitor offerings.
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
• Secure seasonal deals, evergreen and dynamic promotions within the guidelines set by Management to support the brands' marketing efforts.
• Develop and maintain a network of long-term relationships with key suppliers and existing & potential referrals and identify new business opportunities .
• Build and progressively expand the portfolio of assigned travel partners.
• Utilise and update CRM system for all client activity.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or Tourism.
• At least 10 years of tourism experience with minimum 5 years at managerial level.
• Sound knowledge of tourism pricing, itinerary planning, travel package & yield management.
• Experience in Food and Beverage Tourism.
• Demonstrated general problem solving skills and an intense curiosity to identify trends.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving aggressive sales targets.
• Ability to select and present insightful database including performance, market and competitor analysis and to implement meaningful action plans based on the data.
• Computer literacy with knowledge in social media, CRM or database marketing will be an advantage.
• Outstanding presentation & communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken Spanish and Portuguese (native speaker or having lived in South America for at least 1 year is preferable).
• Volunteer work experience is a plus.
• Analytical, result-oriented and with sharp business intelligence.
• Well-organized, self-motivated, aggressive, and customer & sales-oriented.
• High degree of professionalism and strong negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently as well as be strong team player.
