Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in all issues related to film festival operations and film screening activities of the Society;
  • To monitor members’ registration and update members’ database;
  • To prepare and production of membership cards;
  • To provide support for logistics and coordination of membership activities
  • To prepare and proofread data for the website(s), programme & booking folders and programme leaflets for the society activities;
  • To monitor the delivery of programme & booking folders and programme leaflets for the society activities;
  • To coordinate and monitor all technical and screening matters for year-round film programmes, annual film festival, and other ancillary film programmes including but not limited to:
    • arrangements for censorship and co-ordination with OFNAA;
    • manage and carry out film/video checking;
    • manage simple video editing and coordination of trailers and slides production;
    • liaise with screening venues;
    • monitor the projection and provide onsite support at screening venues; and
  • To assume duties at HKIFF Temporary Office during the annual film festival period;
  • To co-ordinate meeting schedule, prepare agenda and minutes of the meeting; and
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or management from time to time.

 

Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Minimum 2 years’ working experience;
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro / easyDCP Player/ subtitle editing software;
  • Knowledge of film format and video / film checking will be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of film subtitle production will be an advantage;
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and a good team player;
  • Experience in technical coordination and working in film festival/film industry/production houses will be an advantage; and
  • Require to work overtime and at irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain peak periods;
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Operations Officer.
