What is the opportunity?

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide support on various HR projects and coordinate and implement key HR processes in recruitment, talent management, learning & development and other HR initiatives.

 

What will you do?

You will undertake the following:

HR Operations/Projects:

  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner to facilitate the success of business
  • Assist in ensuring high quality end-to-end HR processes delivered to the business
  • Provide professional advice in relation to employee relations or legal issues and recommend solutions
  • Assist in reviewing and harmonizing HR policies and benefits such as medical and pension benefits
  • Assist in new HR initiatives/projects to ensure efficient delivery; such as referral program, employee engagement/wellness program, etc.
  • Manage the annual summer internship program to promote RBC as the employer of choice amongst local and overseas universities

 Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies and manage the recruitment process
  • Resourcing of candidates across all business/functions, including the liaison with headhunting agencies and interviewing

Talent Management:

  • Co-ordinate and implement the global talent management process locally
  • Work with managers to identify people-related issues that prevent maximum profitability and implement solutions
  • Assist in managing people management issues, particularly around coaching, counselling and conflict management in partnership with line managers

Learning and Development:

  • Drive and develop a policy on Learning and Development
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the business’ learning needs and provide necessary logistic support
  • Manage and administer all training records to ensure compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirements

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree or equivalent in human resources management, business management or related field
  • At least 6 years of extensive HR experience, preferably within the banking/finance industry and operating in a matrix environment
  • Professional HR qualifications
  • HR generalist with business area experience, broad and deep functional expertise
  • Sound project management and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship building/management and influencing and people management skills
  • Good knowledge of Hong Kong employment law and best practices in HR areas
