Job Description

 Job Description:

You will be assign to our client office to perform the following duties:

  1. To conduct research and field work on intangible cultural heritage items and related topics;

  2. To assist in organizing exhibitions on ICH:

  3. To provide support in organizing educational and extension activities, such as conferences, lectures, demonstrations, workshops, field visits, fun days and publications;

  4. To collate, prepare and edit publicity materials, in both English and Chinese, for the ICHO and update the content of ICH’s website;

  5. To provide support in the liaison with the stakeholders of the community Level and ICH bearers;

  6. To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required to commensurate with this post.

 Job Requirement:

  • A 2nd class or above honor degree or higher level of qualification in History, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Education, Media Communications, or equivalent;

  • An excellent command of both Chinese and English and have met the language proficiencies requirements as follows:

    • - Level 2 in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the common Recruitment Examination (CRE); OR

    • - Grade C or above in Use of English and Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the of the HKALE; OR

    • - Level 5 or above in English Language and Chinese Language of the HKDSE

  • At least I year of relevant foll time working experience in museum or cultural institute;

  • Minimum 2 years' of relevant experience in coordinating, planning and/or implementing exhibitions, educational and I or other public programmes relating to local heritage in the past three years;

  • Fluency in Putonghua and English as well as good command of computer and word-processing (in both English and Chinese);

  • Work experiences with practitioners in heritage and cultural sector in the Mainland and overseas will be an added advantage.
