Job Description

Scope:

Pricing & Business Analysis team is looking for a business analyst , based in Hong Kong.

  • To provide a balanced view & recommendation on the business strategy (from a brand and customer management POV) on Product, Customer and Promotions mechanics
  • To provide management a complete “big picture” of what is driving the business performance and provide a recommendation on what we should do given the business context.
  • to protect the value of the business by ensuring the pricing is correct & appropriate, ensure customer contracts/rebates/incentives etc makes financial sense and makes sense from a customer POV, ensure money is invested where it should be and measure/monitor the ROI of investments/promotion.
  • To take an active part in Global Travel Retail /Group projects and initiatives: RADAR, Center of Excellence Pricing and  “Simplify for Growth”
  • To provide insights and recommendations on  ad hoc projects and request.

 

The role will report to  Pricing & Business Analysis Manager and be part of a team of 4 people (  1 manager ,3 analysts)

 

Job Responsibilities

  •          Compile & analyze sales depletion data, prepare monthly commentary and circulate report to all relevant parties.
  •          Manage the Depletions off-take database and ensure accuracy of data entered.
  •          Review the promotion calendar to ensure it corresponds with the sales depletion commentary.
  •          ROI analysis of the promotions
  •          Coordinate with teams on budget and LE to ensure timely and accurate submission
  •          Monitor & consolidate feedback from KAMs on shipments & inventory on a monthly basis and highlight potential issues.
  •          Provide analysis on sales of brands under allocations and work with Pricing Analyst to recommend re-allocation when appropriate.
  •          Work closely with KAMs to provide SOM analysis by country using market intelligence data provided by customers and Brand Consultants.
  •          Monitor & Provide GMA tracking analysis
  •          Prepare other ad-hoc reports, analysis, presentations as needed, e.g. assistance in 4-yr plan, A&P effectiveness for KAM-lead initiatives, etc.
  •          Ad-hoc projects e.g. process improvements

 

Profile

  •          Degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline
  •          At least 5 years relevant experience  in sales data analysis & management
  •          Prior multinational companies and FMCG exposure is preferable
  •          Background in finance is preferred
  •          Strong excel & analytical skills
  •          Strong knowledge in information systems (ERP, BO) and business intelligence is required
  •          Excellent command of written and spoken English are essential, with good communication skills
  •          multi-task capacity

  •          Strong Interpersonal Skills , capable of working with all levels and all functions within the organisation
