Job Description

Ear Up Global 2017 Recruitment

With Support of Government funding, Renaissance Foundation has planned to run a new music talent nurturing program called “Ear Up Music Global 2017” from August 2017 to April 2018 with program details listed as below:

 

(i) Nurture and incubate local young music talents with training and mentoring by experienced music groups, and provide the young talents with overseas performance opportunities and industry exchanges with overseas counterparts

 

(ii) Six selected budding music groups will be led by four experienced groups. The paring up of music groups will enhance their branding and exposure in overseas performance, so as to better promote the music of Hong Kong overseas, and build up the overall branding of HK’s music and creative industries

 

The program deliverables are:

(i) Selecting outstanding local indie music talents

(ii) Matching up selected indie music talents as mentees with local famous music individuals or groups as mentors

(iii) Training selected talents

(iv) Sponsoring the pairing up of music groups to perform in overseas leading music festivals/platforms (a total of 4 overseas trips to music festivals) and study trip after the performances

(v) Organizing experience sharing events to the industry and a large-scale finale public concert in Hong Kong.

 

We are looking for an experienced Project Director to help us run this high-profile project (from August 2017 to April 2018) :

 

Job Duties

- Overall project management

- Project planning, high-level coordination

- Conducting project committee meeting

- Liaison with key stakeholders of project including government funding body, mentors and industry support bodies

 

Requirements:

- Degree in Communication/Animation/Event Management or related fields

- Over 10 years in marketing/music/event organizing experiences with good management experiences and skills

- Experiences of project management of government-funded projects with good track record is preferable

- Besides project execution, the candidate should have the good industry knowledge and ability to lead and drive the development of this project

- Can effectively communicate with multi-stakeholders i.e. the government department which provides funding, key music industry supporters and program participants

- Excellent command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)

 

*Please note the final offer of the positions will be pending on final government funding, and the offer may be a part-time mode depending on qualification, experiences and capabilities of candidates to deliver the project deliverable within the project timeline.
