In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring and investigating technical issues with a state-of-the-art Risk Management application running on a cloud computing infrastructure (Microsoft Azure). You will ensure the system is continually available and able to meet the needs of our clients, using a thorough understanding of the system architecture, combined with a suite of third party and in house monitoring tools. You will work closely with our Clients and other team members in the Development, Sales, Client Support and Implementation business units.

Responsibilities:

• Build an understanding of both the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform (including IaaS, PaaS, cloud storage, and Azure Service Fabric), and the Axioma Risk product, in order to ensure the optimum configuration and performance of the Axioma Risk system
• Contribute to the development, specification and maintenance of a suite of monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting tools (including Nagios, elasticsearch, OMS, graphite, etc.), to ensure they meet the support needs of a continually expanding system
• Perform system troubleshooting to help diagnose any technical issues experienced by system users, both internal and external
• Be an integral link to the overall success of Axioma's Risk Product Suite

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Engineering (or similar) from an accredited institution. Understanding of financial markets and terminology a plus
• 0-4 years experience in related field
• Strong English language skills
• Strong quantitative problem-solving and analytical skills, detail oriented
• MSCE Certification, or experience with SQL, Python or other object-oriented programming language, VBA, UNIX/LINUX is a plus but not essential
• Very proficient in writing and speaking English
• TCP/IP Networking or SysAdmin experience (Active Directory, WSUS, group policy, etc) is a plus but not essential
• Experience in Application Support, particularly in financial services industry, would be valuable
• Experience with monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting solutions such as nagios, geneos, graphite, splunk, elasticsearch, kibana, openNMS, etc would be valuable
