Job Description

Position Overview

  • The Sales Director NASA, will have full P&L responsibility for assigned countries in Asia especially in the regions of China, Korea, and South East Asia.  The primary focus is to drive revenues and profitably for all accounts.  The position will report directly to the VP/GM Asia Pacific who is based in Hong Kong.

 

The successful candidate:

  • Must have a strong sales background with proven contacts and relationships at senior levels of mobile operators throughout the region
  • Will be expected over time to oversee direct sales and support staff for the region
  • Will be able to work with a diverse team located in multiple locations and to coordinate efforts with the corporate office (in California, USA) as well as engineering office (in Mumbai) and other sales offices around the world
  • Must be able to coordinate technical resources to assist in the needs analysis and the preparation of detailed responses to RFPs and RFIs
  • Must provide input to the Engineering and Product Marketing teams on market specifications and trends
  • Will be responsible for determining marketing priorities for trade shows and seminars, with a specific focus to evolving the relationship with the GSM Association at the senior and working group levels
  • Shall proactively learn new solutions (technology, application, process, and development methodology) and be conversant in general wireless as well as software technology and firmware
  • Will have responsibility to ensure that the delivery and implementation of solution at client site occurs in a profitable manner through managing client expectations
  • Shall be the expectation of new relationship selling as well as a proven ability to generate new business with existing clients
  • Will have a compensation package that will be a combination of base salary, commissions based upon revenues, margins and other agreed metrics, as well as the ability to earn substantial bonuses for meeting profitability goals – gross margin on client implementations
  • Preferably experience in marketing "Big Data" or "Analytics" related services

 

Requirements of the Position

Specific Skills / Experience:

  • BA/BS degree minimum, advanced technical, marketing or business degree desired
  • 10+ years of solution or software application selling experience
  • Strong management skills – ability to coordinate teams in diverse locations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Self starter use to working in startup environment with minimal direction
  • Multi cultural or international experience
  • Expertise in company product core areas; Mobile Roaming Services and Telecommunications Marketplace
  • Strong sales skills; needs analysis, positioning, business case justification, closing
  • Ability to work independently on complex problems
  • Willingness to travel over 75% of the time

Location:

  • Hong Kong

Languages:

  • Spoken and written English and Chinese (Potunghua) is a must
  • Other Chinese dialect will be a plus

Earning Potential:

  • Base + Commission
  • Commission: based on quota and gross margin attainment
