The Job 

• Carry out research and development for protein purification
• Perform routine purification of recombinant proteins
• Assist in the scale-up of purification processes
• Assist in maintenance and upkeep of process and related equipment
• Assist in establishing and maintaining SOPs, training documents and batch records.
• Assist to prepare the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) documentation for new drug submission
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors
• More senior staff will also be responsible for planning, coordination, preparation, review and completion of process development-related activities and documents

The Person

• B.Sc. or above in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science or related discipline or Higher Diploma with at least 2 years experience in biotech related research
• Positions offered will commensurate with qualification and experience
• Experience in QC tests or protein characterization is highly preferred
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Knowledge of ICH guidelines and cGMP is an advantage
• A high level of self-motivation and strong organizational and reporting skills
• Ability to independently implement experimental protocols, troubleshoot and problem solve experiments with guidance from supervisors
• Ability to work as a team and effective in communication with peers and management
• Good command of English and Chinese, both verbal and written
• Immediately available is preferable
