THE JOB

Reporting to the Sport Medicine Manager, the Part-time Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following duties:

• To assist clinic doctor in medical consultation and performing clinical procedures;
• To provide quality nursing care to scholarship athletes: first aid treatment, clinical nursing care, wound management and vaccinations;
• To deliver health promotion and prevention education for coaches and elite athletes;
• To proceed administration work of the posts medicine clinic: drug management; documentation management for medical clinic; and
• To assist clinic doctor in medical screening.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse (Hong Kong Nursing Council) with a valid practicing certificate
• Minimum of 5 years' post registration clinical experience for Registered Nurse, Minimum of 8 years post-registration clinical experience for Enrolled Nurse is preferred;
• Sports medicine experience (including athletes health care, sports related wound management) is an advantage;
• Knowledge of World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) anti-doping regulations and experience is an advantage;
• Good command of spoken and written English; Able to communicate in Cantonese and Putonghua is advantage; and
• Awareness / knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
