This position will support Director, Global Responsibility to coordinate and execute social compliance initiatives across Ascena Retail Group Inc. (ascena)’s direct suppliers sourced in Asia.  The person will operate the new program and portal of Global Responsibility which will be launched in late 2017, to engage with sourcing offices in Asia, the Suppliers and Facilities to drive best-in-class social compliance performance in order to bring positive social impact within the supply chain, and to drive customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

1. Supply-Chain Management of Supplier Management

• Liaise with sourcing offices on new vendor set-up through the new supplier management portal
• Be one of the power-users of the portal and provide training with internal associates in Hong Kong, Korea and Shanghai, and the direct vendors. 

2. Supply-Chain Management of Social Compliance

• Introduce the program to ascena’s direct vendor and facilities and internal stakeholders.
• Manage the pre-sourcing and annual monitoring social compliance processes of the direct vendors to ensure the facilities meet the minimum requirement.
• Manage the remediation program with the vendors to address their non-compliance issues to drive continuous improvement and meet at least the minimum requirement.
• Monitor the monitoring firms through shadow audits to ensure their auditors follow the social compliance monitoring requirements.

  3. Training and Education to drive Best-In-Class Global Responsibility Program

•  Work with the team to prepare internal awareness workshops to promote Global Responsibility initiatives (social, environmental and women empowerment), to gain alignment and buy-in.
• Assist in promoting supplier ownership to key responsible and ethical vendors with capacity building support in order to demonstrate strong compliance standards.

   4. Research and Analysis

• Support the team to promote social compliance program to drive customer engagement through corporate website
• Develop social compliance scorecard reporting to drive best-in-class supply chain with strong compliance performance

 Job Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree holder in related discipline or equivalent work experience 
• Minimum 5 years  experience in area of social Compliance/ corporate social responsibility or monitoring companies or retail/ sourcing industries
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Be mature and confident to meet with senior management of Suppliers
• Maintain and apply good analytical, communication and organization skills
• Able to manage multiple tasks, while maintaining conscientious attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power point
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin is must
• Occasional travelling is required
