My client is a leading name Brokerage / Financial Services firm with considerable operations Hong Kong and China.  Due to significant growth in the business, we are now looking for an experienced Senior Treasury Manager to develop the Treasury Function and team to meet the business’ needs. The business is acquisitive and it is expected that the role will also cover the US operations.

   

This is a key role which reports directly to the CFO. The key accountabilities include: - 

• Ensure the Company’s funding position and liquidity requirements are met and also to derive profit, by actively managing the Group Treasury Trading Book – which includes potential US Treasury, Government bonds, Investment Grade bonds and repo. 

• Direct and develop the skills of the Treasury Team of 2 staff, who manage the treasury function for the Group licensed corporation, operating an SFC type 1 license. 

• Establish strong working relationships with internal counterparts in order to provide high quality support when required
• Execute transactions judiciously on the Group Treasury Trading Book by developing views market movements and their impact on treasury products. 

• Ensure banking partners are positive to Group Treasury needs by building and developing strong relationships with those institutions.

  

Requirements : 

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Economics or related disciplines 

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in either a bank or corporate treasury function: including at least 3 years proprietary trading experience on a Treasury Trading Book – including fixed income and/or FX products etc. 

• Knowledge in financial markets products including bonds, foreign exchange, interest rate and fixed income
• Knowledge in derivative instruments including cross currency swaps, interest rate swaps, FX and interest rate options

• Good command of spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is a must
• A relevant professional qualification
