Our Client is a well-known Investment bank. They are now seeking a Head of operation to lead their operation Division.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 8 including Account Administration , Futures and Equities Settlement
• Set up working groups for new projects under the direction of senior management
• Intervene, support and counsel operations staff to ensure processes are made in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Regularly review Operations performance, provide training to operations team to increase their market knowledge, management skill and operations efficiency
• Co-ordinate with Finance, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance, IT, CA to ensure day-to-day operational efficiency and complied with firm policies, internal control and regulatory requirements
• Supervise operations staff in carrying out their reporting and control functions on Group subsidiaries and performance of daily duties on their behalf in accordance with service agreements
• Ensure data recovery, contingency plans are implemented in accordance with established policies
• Lead and counsel operations staff in working with other divisions, and to resolve queries from their customers or stakeholders
• Maintain an up-to-day back office procedures for approved business activities or any new changes on the operations flows
• Investigate errors and complaints, and take corrective measures
• Work closely with our IT department to deploy new operations systems and look for system enhancement for reducing manual error, increase STP (Straight through processing) and strength our contro

Requirements

• Degree holder with 8 years or above relevant management experience in Financial Institutions
• Solid experience and knowledge in the statutory requirement
• Solid exposure on market practice of Settlement
• Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese, including Putonghua
