Scope and Responsibilities

This role will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio management activities, function as an integral part of a close-knit group of investment professionals, take the lead in financial modelling and industry research, play a key role in the underlying analysis of investment decisions, and assist senior professionals in structuring and negotiating prospective investments in target companies.

Responsibilities will include:

• Participate in the sourcing and evaluation of potential new business opportunities for the Unit, including identification of targets, screening, preparation of business cases and transaction execution

• Participate in all aspects of the deal execution process, including due diligence, financial modelling, negotiation, execution and integration of transactions

• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all key stakeholders, including internal / external executive management, financial and legal advisors, and participate in outreach to the broader investment community

• Provide coaching and support to junior analysts on the team

Job Requirement

Successful candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree with honours from a top university or college
• 3-5 years’ experience as an analyst or above in: Big 4, investment banks or buy-side firms.
• Experience in Education, Agri-business or Real Estate transactions a PLUS
• Outstanding financial modelling and analytical skills
• Completion of professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA.
• Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance
• Demonstrated ability and interest in working with a small group of investment professionals
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin is a must
