Role

As part of Middle Office IT department, the tactical developer is in charge of assisting all agents involved during the post trade life cycle. The team is automating users’ tasks by developing tactical tools mainly in VBA with the objective of securing processes and limit operational risk.

You will join a transversal team and work on different financial products (Equity, Exotic, Rates).

We are looking for a tactical Developer to enforce the team and add an expertise on Rest API in JAVA.

Main responsibilities

Each Developer is responsible for:

• Designing, developing, testing, securing and enhancing tactical tools
• Proposing recommendations for process improvement
• Ensuring that the code is actively maintained and up to date
• Coaching junior team members both on product knowledge and technical skills

Communication

The developer is responsible for all communication between his assigned team and users:

• Communicate on project status in a timely manner
• Promote and advertise on tools developed and used to users in Paris and NY
• Challenge requirements and advise on the good solutions

Operational Skills

• Experience in Excel VBA
• Core Java development (Java 8, Spring boot)
• Knowledge Python and analytics libraries
• Knowledge in developing modern web applications using JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, RESTful API)
• Experience in Agile, TDD and continuous delivery (Jenkins, Sonar)
• Expertise on financial products
• Previous experience in Robotics Process Automation (RPA) or Cognitive Automation, Machine Learning,  is a strong advantage
