Job Description

We are now inviting application(s) for the following post in the LiPACE:

 

Senior Lecturer (Criminology and Disciplinary Forces) (at the rank of Senior Programme Manager) (Ref:17-SPM-230-D)

 

Duties

The appointee is responsible for the following duties:

  1. To undertake programme/course planning, development, management and delivery (including classroom teaching and work-integrated learning);
  2. To engage in professional/scholarly activities;
  3. To participate in Institute/University activities and administration;
  4. To provide leadership and support in relevant subject/programme teams, where necessary.

 

Requirements

Applicants are required to possess the following:

  1. A higher degree in Criminology, Police Studies or a related discipline with professional qualifications in such subject areas;
  2. Relevant professional experience in the related subject areas and/or teaching/administration experience in tertiary/continuing education;
  3. Some involvement on professional and community activities;
  4. Proficiency in both English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua).

 

Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer (at the rank of Programme Manager).

 

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract.  Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage and gratuity, where applicable.
