UNIVERSITY RESEARCH FACILITY IN 3D PRINTING

Associate Engineer (two posts) (Ref. 17072703-E)

Duties

The appointees will join the University Research Facility in 3D Printing (U3DP) and be required to:

a) design, develop and involve in Learning & Teaching activities;

b) assist in planning and carrying out R&D and consultancy projects;

c) assist in overseeing daily administration and operation of the unit; and

d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of U3DP or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

a) have a good honours degree in engineering, material science, a related life science or science discipline with at least five years of relevant work/R&D /project management experience;

b) have relevant background either in CAD modelling, CAE analyses, Reverse Engineering, Medical Images processing, 3D Printing and/or product development;

c) have good communication and presentation skills;

d) be a team player and with the ability to work with different parties from all cultural backgrounds; and

e) have a good command of both written and spoken English, preferably with fluency in Putonghua.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
