Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

Team Management

  • Supervise the team and monitors all related activities in order to ensure that all requirements of the activities are achieved including system compliance & specifications and implementation schedule;
  • Analyse and provide support / advice to the team on solving technical problems in order to ensure stable infrastructure environment;
  • Conduct technical training within the department in order to ensure IT staff having knowledge and skills needed for carrying out their job duties.

 

Projects & Daily Operation Support

  • Organize, plan, manage and monitor the activities in all project stages in order to ensure all requirements and milestones are met;
  • Coordinate with users for gathering requirements and assists in preparation of user specifications and testing plan;
  • Assist in the preparation of budget and documents such as business case, building permit, management memo, etc. for project approval from management.

 

Compliance & Auditing

  • Perform self-assessment on IT activities / systems to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines;
  • Provide support / advice to the team in self-assessment and IT audit exercise.

 

Guideline, Procedures & Inventory Maintenance

  • Review and update on the technical documents such as system diagram, system installation / operational manual, etc. in order to facilitate team members performing daily system / operation supports;
  • Update inventories such as hardware/software, server, contract, etc. in order to ensure the records are up-to-date.

 

Miscellaneous Tasks

  • Evaluate new technologies / solutions to recommend an optimal solution to management in alignment with corporate standards, meeting with user requirement and within budget;
  • Prepare, review and work with Law for IT agreements to ensure complying corporate standard T&C and fulfilling the required scope of work;
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by immediate manager in order to meet business requirements.

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related discipline;
  • 6 to 8 years of IT related experience, preferably in insurance industry;
  • Good technical skill in solution design, administration & support on server (Windows/Unix/Linux) / database / Call Centre systems;
  • Practical experience in networking, Active Directory, vendor management, system security and admin;
  • Good team management and project management skills;
  • Good written and communication skills.
