Job scope

- Manages developers, senior developer and team leads, and appraise their performances;

- Work with project managers to allocate development resources efficiently;

- Provide guidance to developers on their work and career development;

- Build and develop effective development teams with appropriate skill set, and mix of senior and junior developers;

- Conduct technical review (code, design, architecture) to ensure excellent code quality;

- Take ownership of development process to continuously improve efficiency and productivity;

- Regularly review and improve DevOps efficiency;

Required Skill Set

- A degree in computer science or equivalent from a reputable university;

- Min 10 years of experience in IT industry as developer, senior developer or architect;

- Min 3 years of experience in a people manager capacity;

- Hands-on experience in core Java, J2EE, Oracle or other relational database and SQL scripting, Javascript, and at least one scripting language (shell, Perl, Python, etc);

- Hands-on experience in design patterns, architecture design, and system integration;

- Good technical writing skills;

- Fluent in both English and Mandarin; 

Good-to-have Skill Set

- Hands-on experience in a Unix system;

- Hands-on experience in DevOps tools and processes, including but not limited to: JIRA and its plugins (Fisheye, Crucible), Hudson/Jenkins, Maven, code review tools such as SonarQube

- Knowledge in project management;
