Responsibilities

• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Manage infrastructure operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
• Manage IT assets with proper inventory control on record keeping, maintenance and related documentation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, standards and procedures for company-wide infrastructure needs.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
• Negotiate with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.
• Pro-actively monitor and review infrastructure performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
• Select, mentor and mature a center of excellence staff to perform development and support tasks.
• Partner with all areas within IT Division for data related needs and support.

Requirements 

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10+years experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operations; experience in financial services industry environment an added advantage.
• 5 years successful leadership of an infrastructure team with extensive exposure of infrastructure service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments, of data and voice network VoIP, Real Time Data, LAN, Wan, VPN, Dealer Board, PABX and Direct Access.
• Experience in designing, building and maintaining data center for investment banking trading and order routing network managing multi-vendors and system integrators.
• Experience in design and implement collocation data center for disaster recovery and resilience facilities.
• Exposure in implementing trading and data network connections with providers such as BT, Bloomberg, Fidessa, ITG, Thomson Reuters, NYFIX, etc.
• Knowledge of FIX network is an added advantage.
• Exposure in implementing network security and related products with IDS, IPS, BGP, Firewall, NGFW, SIEM and SSL Tunnel; good understanding of trading and market data facilities such as Reuters RMDS, Bloomberg, AAStocks, ET-Net, CCASS, DCASS, HKEx OCG/OMD, CG, FIX, etc. 
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in using network products and protocols such as Cisco Router and Switch (29xx, 3750x, 65xx, 75xx) with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, CiscoWork, Juniper SSGxxx Firewall, Checkpoint, Paloalto, Netscreen, Load Balancer F5, TCP/IP, RIP.
• Knowledge and experience in using Windows desktop and server OS, AD, , Proxy, MS SQL, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, McAfee antivirus, McAfee DLP, Lotus Notes, Citrix, VM Ware and SAN storages.
• Ability to manage and handle demands from multiple internal users; ability to work with geographically diverse work force; meticulous and methodical in creating solutions with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Team player and yet able to work independently, self-motivated, able to multi-task and to take initiative to get projects completed.
