My client, a leading Global FX FinTech specialist, is currently seeking a number of experienced PHP developers, with various levels of experience (junior to senior) to join their expanding Asian team, and to be based in Hong Kong. Reporting to the technology leadership team and working collectively with a very collaborative development team, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
- Build a wide range of applications that include online FX trading platforms, API powered mobile apps, trade management, payments and compliance systems and a market automation platform.
- Work on new and existing projects, continuously maintaining code
- Senior Developers will be expected to act as a mentor to the rest of the team
- Successfully resolve conflicts of opinion with the team should they arise
- Communicate using both technical and non-technical language to share your knowledge
- Ensure all output benefits both users and the business
- Support, modify and maintain systems and code which was developed by others
- Consistently and continuously work to Agile (Scrum/Kanban) principles
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 3-10 years experience (multiple levels, junior to senior, are being hired)
- An ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Proven skill in developing and managing maintainable code-bases
- Knowledge and experience of cross-browser issues
- Experience in object oriented PHP5 coding with proper design patterns and at least one MVC framework
- Version control, preferably git and a good working knowledge of the Linux CLI
- Full-stack development experience preferably, e.g. React
- SOA, API, microservices skills with test automation experience
- Experience with domain driven design, SOLID principles and/or message queues will be a huge bonus
- Fluency in English with Chinese language skills a plus
