Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support, assist in the development and management of a profitable business portfolio under the specified insurance class according to the Company’s guidelines and delegated authorities
• Support the implementation of the team strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
• Ensure the team’s awareness of the business plan and it’s context, to be able to provide data to support decisions making appropriately
• Contribute to the development of the team’s business plan in order to maximize productivity and performance
• Adhere to actuarial standards, instructions and good practice to minimize risk and maximize efficiency
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues, to maximize influence and achieve business objectives
• Demonstrate understanding and awareness of market dynamics and market cycle to drive and enhance business performance
• Contribute and influence in the review and analysis of  the portfolio to identify progress toward business objectives
• Internal Data Mining to produce insight and support pricing, monitoring and reserving deliverables.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification preferable 
• Up to 3 years working experience with substantial experience gained within the insurance industry
• Use of risk profiling and pricing tools and loss models
• Basic knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Basic analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to analyse data and use for decision-making
• Strong knowledge in MS Excel, prior exposure to SQL and SAS is an advantage.
