Responsibilities:

• To conduct non marine underwriting activities including analyze risk assessment, determine rates and do the placement (direct business),  compose Underwriting Guidelines
• To handle inward and outward facultative reinsurance agreements.
• To be responsible in calculating premiums and provide claims statistics.
• To assist General Manager including preparing business plan and providing underwriting information timely and accurately.
• To supervise and motivate the division and ensure the team run efficiently and achieve profitable underwriting results.
• To liase and answer queries raised by Agents, Brokers, other business clients/producers and other relevant parties.
• Other ad-hoc assignments.

Requirements:

• Degree holder with relevant professional qualifications such as ACII or ANZIFF
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience in underwriting
• Excellent technical knowledge and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and good network and relationship with clients and/or insurance intermediaries
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese
• Able to work independently and under pressure
