POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking successful and motivated Physiotherapist / Clinical Training Specialist candidates who will be responsible for providing training and education to current and future Aceso Bionics customers while facilitating use of our product, an exoskeleton technology in rehabilitation settings, used for SCI and stroke patients.

Scope of work includes performing initial and ongoing training as needed at hospital, clinics and individual customer sites as well as performing of services to patients in a hospital/ clinic or home setting. 

S/he will ensure competent and safe operation of exoskeleton devices by all physical therapists at hospital/ customer sites. The activities needed to support these objectives include, while not limit to: improving the quality, efficiency, and productivity of the physical therapy/clinical team, facilitating patient use of our products directly and through others, complying with quality management system, making presentations to current and future customers, supporting the design and development of future products, and the development and support of clinical training with Aceso Bionics customers. 

The successful candidate will be a registered Physiotherapist with some experience treating patients in a SCI and neurological rehabilitation setting

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Travel to current and future customer locations to provide new or ongoing training for all Aceso Bionics devices in Hong Kong. 
• Maintain efficiency and quality of Clinical training provided to customers
• Provide services to patients (hospital or private) to high standard
• Travel to current and future customer locations to provide in-services and demonstrations
• Represent Aceso Bionics at conferences

POSITION SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS 

Successful candidates meet the following skills, abilities and requirements:

• Must be a registered physical therapist (preferably with 3-5 years) of experience treating in an inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation setting. 

• Would be an advantage to have thorough understanding of and demonstrated experience working with SCI/ neurological conditions at all levels, risks and complications associated with diagnosis, and experience gait training this population.

• Have solid physical evaluation skills.

• Service and patient centric mindset

• Personable and a strong communicator with patients and carers/ family.

• Must speak and understand fluent English (essential) and the local language/ dialect

• Comfortable using technology as well as tools to adjust devices (Similar to wheelchair adjustment skills)

• Provides excellent verbal and written communication to various team members in a timely manner. Requires effective communication to convey, develop and implement ideas to various customers and teams.

• Graduate degree from accredited Physiotherapy program and be a registered physical therapist.

• Must be CPR and first aid certified.

• Possesses a high sense of urgency, initiative and effective decision making skills.

• Must present a professional demeanor and demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse group of individuals from multi-cultural backgrounds.

• Is energetic, works quickly and efficiently with detail and accuracy; able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

• Proficient with computer use including Microsoft office suite and databases used by the business.

• Works independently and is able to prioritize numerous duties.

• Must be able to lift and carry 23kg.

• Must be comfortable with frequent travel and working at customer’s sites.
